I came into the care of the Children’s Aid at 27 months. My twin sister and I were so sick from malnourishment that they’d given us a week to live. I’ve grown up being kind of hard on myself. But even when things seem like they’re falling apart, there’s always someone I can text or call and go for coffee with. I love my work waitressing and coaching archery. I’m really starting to feel good about who I am and why I was put here.
