A message on behalf of the Board of Directors of Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society:
Earlier this fall, the Board of Directors of Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society announced Executive Director Jennifer Wilson will be retiring in February 2020. Jennifer Wilson leaves a long and impactful legacy not only on the agency, but on the child welfare sector in the province. The board sincerely appreciates Jennifer Wilson’s leadership and contributions over the past eight years and wishes her all the best in her future endeavours.
Effective January 2, 2020, Jennifer McLauchlan, Director of Corporate Services, assumed the position of Interim Executive Director of Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society.
“Jennifer McLauchlan has full confidence from the board as she brings continuity of vision for the agency,” says Rod Sutherland, Board President of Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society. “She provides an essential mix of leadership and operational experience. The agency will continue to thrive under her leadership during this time of change and modernization within the child welfare sector.”
Jennifer McLauchlan is a certified human resources leader with 25 years of experience primarily in the public sector. She joined Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society in April 2012 as Director of Human Resources. She was promoted to Director of Corporate Services in December 2015, overseeing Human Resources, Finance, IT, Administrative Services, Property, and Quality Assurance. Prior to joining Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society, Jennifer McLauchlan worked at the Peterborough Regional Health Center holding various positions in Human Resources including Director of Transformation where she led the implementation of LEAN business improvement systems.
Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society’s engages families and the community to protect children, youth, and young adults, with dedicated, knowledgeable, and compassionate staff and volunteers. The board and management team look forward to working with Jennifer McLauchlan to ensure Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society provides continued service excellence to meet the complex and ever-changing needs of the children, youth, and families we serve.
