The AXE-Travaganza is back and we would love to see you there! After the success of last year’s event, we will once again be running the Send a Kid to Camp AXE-Travaganza Fundraiser! Last year’s event brought 70 participants to the Peterborough Axe Club, where the incredible staff taught the players the fine art of “chucking steel”. In addition, 20 balloons were sold at the balloon pop and there were 20 items up for silent auction all donated by local businesses. Together with our incredible sponsors, and the donation of 50% of the night’s proceeds from the Axe Club, we raised over $13,000 in total, enough to send 29 children to summer camp and participants got to enjoy delicious pizza from East Side Mario's! This year’s event will once again be happening at the Peterborough Axe Club (280 Perry Street, Unit 1), on May 10th with a start time of 5:00 PM sharp! For details and tickets, contact Deb Aben, KHCF Executive Director at (705)-743-9751 x1317.
The Great Canadian Giving Challenge has begun and we have entered the competition to win $10,000 for our kids! For the entire month of June, every $1 you donate to us through www.canadahelps.org or www.givingchallenge.ca qualifies us to win $10,000! The donations that you make will help us send At-Risk children in our community to Summer Camp. The more you give, the more chances for these children to win! Help KHCF win for these children!
