Be a Kid for a Day a great success! May 26, 2014 Blue sky and sun, 9 great teams, a super Foundation Board and amazing volunteers made for a fantastic fundraiser for our summer camp fund! They gathered, they were challenged with heights,, canoeing, climbing, creating, making fires, tossing, jumping … you name it … the teams did it and they so much fun! After a great day of corporate challenges the teams gathered around the silent auction and bid for the kids, drank wonderful wine at the wine tasting and then joined together for the awards ceremony. Cheering was loud, clapping was thunderous as the awards were given out … The first place team … Mills Motors Team 2! The second place team … Commonwell Insurance Group Team 1 The third place team … Stewart Morrison Insurance CONGRATULATIONS! The “wackiest” winning team uniforms went to Stewart Morrison (Waldo) Insurance Co. They will enjoy a day at Viamede Resort for winning along with lunch at the Boathouse Restaurant and a two hour cruise on Kawartha Spirit on Stoney Lake! Thanks to all the participants, volunteers, staff at Camp Kawartha for making this a great successful day for the kids!
