The Sleigh will be open at the Walmart on Chemong Road, until Monday December 4th at 1:00pm. For the past 34 years, the Kawartha Haliburton Children\u2019s Foundation Santa\u2019s Sleigh Program has helped make the holidays brighter for local children and youth who are involved with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children\u2019s Aid Society. \u201cWe are inviting the community to choose a child\u2019s gift suggestion from our tree at Walmart, and then shop for that gift in order to fulfill the child\u2019s holiday wish\u201d says Carrie Truman, Executive Director of the Kawartha-Haliburton Children\u2019s Foundation. \u201cThe gifts will go directly to children in our community, so that together we can put smiles on the faces of local children this holiday season.\u201d We are accepting donations of physical gifts, gift cards, and monetary donations. Monetary donations will be used to purchase gifts and gift cards for children and youth who are involved with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children\u2019s Aid Society. The most important message we can give local at-risk children and their families is one of hope. Thank you to the generous donors in our community for making it possible year-after-year, for local children to open a special holiday gift.
