Interestingly, the life-enriching experiences offered by the foundation, like our summer camp program, were having an indirect effect on the number of students wishing to attend post-secondary institutions.\u00a0 Our ongoing programs are designed to help build self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-confidence, which encourage children and youth to pursue their dreams and work toward reaching their life goals. Education is key to developing life skills and workplace readiness. The supports offered by donors today assist growing numbers of youth transition from care and into post-secondary education or job training programs. Currently, the Foundation provides over $185,000 annually in bursary funding to former in-care youths pursuing post-secondary education or training that leads to a certificate or license.
