Dear Foundation Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n

I just wanted to send an email to say thanks to the sponsors of my family at Christmas.\u00a0 The family was very pleased with everything they received and the gift cards for groceries were truly appreciated.\u00a0 The family really likes family pictures and their walls are covered with pictures but no group family picture in some time, since Mom passed away.\u00a0 Dad was very excited to know that he and his family will be able to get a family picture done.\u00a0 The children had a wonderful Christmas with a turkey dinner and all the trimmings.\u00a0 It is donations like this that make me see that people want to help and when they are asked to help they step up to the plate and go way beyond what is imagined.\u00a0 We rely on volunteers and donations a great to deal help meet the needs of our families and I would like to send a great big thank you!\u00a0 All the best in 2017.<\/b><\/p>\n

I wanted to let you know that I received a call from a mom on my caseload who wanted to say thank you for sending her children to camp this summer.\u00a0 Her 11 year old son, in particular, found his experience at camp to be \u201clife-changing\u201d.\u00a0 He was given several opportunity to try activities that he had never done before such as mountain biking and riding a zip line.\u00a0 He was given a Bible and asked to write a verse about not being afraid, which was meaningful for him, as he suffers from anxiety.\u00a0 The family is Christian, but have not been to church in a long time and this camp gave him an opportunity to think about his faith.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

This mom also said that she was impressed at how well the camp counselors got to know her son during the short time he was at camp.\u00a0 He plans on keeping in touch with his camp counselor.\u00a0 He also told his mom that he plans on saving the money he earns from delivering newspapers so that he can go back next year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Hearing this made me smile.\u00a0 Please pass along this thank you to the other members of the Children\u2019s Foundation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you very much for everything that you do.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

I often apply for funding through the foundation for families on my case load, and my requests have always been approved.\u00a0 Since starting this job in 2009, I continue to be amazed at all the wonderful opportunities that you make possible for the parents and children that I work with.<\/b><\/p>\n

I truly believe that without the foundation, I would not be able to provide the services and support that I do to my families.\u00a0 The foundation truly is an asset to this society, and I appreciate all of your hard work and thoughtfulness.<\/b><\/p>\n

Please know that the families that you assist are forever grateful and your generosity does not go unnoticed.\u00a0 It is a pleasure to see the smiles on the children\u2019s faces when I am able to tell them that they can take swimming lessons, or go on a school trip they have been looking forward to.<\/b><\/p>\n
