Every year the Foundation is committed to providing\u00a0 gift cards to youths aged 16 – 25 transitioning from living in the care of the Children’s Aid Society, to living on their own. It is often a struggle for these youth, and without supports many end up on the streets.\u00a0 The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society child welfare workers remain in contact with the youth to ensure that they receive essential services and guidance as they learn to live on their own.\u00a0 In addition, four times a year the Foundation provides an allotment of gift cards to assist with groceries, clothing and \u00a0personal hygiene products.
