241 kids went to camp this summer!<\/h3>\n

September 1, 2015<\/p>\n

Thanks to all the donors in our community for helping our Foundation send kids to camp this summer!<\/p>\n

Because of their generosity and caring, we were able to send 241 children to a variety of camps in Haliburton, City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough County.<\/p>\n

Summer camp is a place where children get the experiences they need to bolster their range of coping strategies. There are the simple challenges of learning how to build a fire, going on a hike, swimming or conquering a high ropes course.<\/p>\n

Camp is a time to put away screens, get a little dirty, meet new friends, learn new skills and just forget their troubles for a week and have fun.<\/p>\n

Thanks to all the champions who helped children have an experience that they will remember for a lifetime.<\/p>\n

We hope that others will step up to the plate and donate to the Foundation’s Summer Camp Fund!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
