Sponsor an Event
Please help by choosing to sponsor an event! The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation does not receive government funding and is not supported by the United Way. We rely solely on the generosity of corporate and individual donors and event sponsors who provide much needed support for children involved with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society. We offer children positive experiences at summer camp, sports activities, music lessons, as well as assistance with education.
There are a variety of possibilities for corporations and businesses who are looking for opportunities to help make a difference in the lives of local children in Peterborough, the City of Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton area. From the donation of major gifts to choosing to sponsor an event, we spend time getting to know you in order to maximize your impact while showcasing your company’s support for our most deserving, but vulnerable, children and youth.
Special events account for 40% of our annual budget toward the programs we fund. We publicly recognize all corporate sponsors on our website, as well as through social media. In addition we feature our sponsors and auction donors in our programs and with signage during our major events. During our Christmas Giving Program, Santa’s Sleigh we frequently post photos of our kindhearted sponsors from local businesses dropping off gifts for the children and families they have graciously chosen to support.

In addition to regular year-round donations, we have recently seen an increase in corporate Christmas giving. Rather than have a traditional secret santa party, many businesses are choosing instead to put their Christmas spirit to work by sponsoring families for our Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Program, purchasing gifts for children through the Santa’s Sleigh program, or simply by collecting funds to donate to the Foundation’s many helping programs. Of course, we deeply appreciate the Christmas donations but we do depend on additional year-round giving to continue to provide a range of services to children and families in the care of the KHCAS.
