Rebecca Gower joined the board in 2025. She graduated from Guelph University and began her career with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society shortly thereafter. For 26 years she has continued her career with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society, currently, in the capacity as a Children and Youth Services Worker. She has a passion for working with children and youth, which has been the pillar of her career. She is a new board member sitting on the Governance Committee.
In her current job at KHCAS she has been witness to how the funds from the foundation have enriched children and youth’s daily lives allowing them opportunities and experiences they would not otherwise get. It warms her heart to see how many programs are available to access and how generous the foundation is in making each child and youth feel special and financially supported.
She was honoured to be accepted to join this board as her heart is where it is meant to be, continuing to help vulnerable children and youth in our community.
Rebecca loves the outdoors and loves any time she can get at her happy place, her cottage.
