Every year the Foundation is committed to providing gift cards to youths aged 16 – 25 transitioning from living in the care of the Children’s Aid Society, to living on their own.

It is often a struggle for these youth, and without supports many end up on the streets. The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society child welfare workers remain in contact with the youth to ensure that they receive essential services and guidance as they learn to live on their own. In addition, four times a year the Foundation provides an allotment of gift cards to assist with groceries, clothing and personal hygiene products.
