This year the Foundation was one of 9 local charities invited to take part in an event at Lansdowne Place Mall called “Behind Closed Doors,” a private shopping event for ticket holders. It was an exciting evening, the Mall was filled with shoppers and our display booth saw a lot of people stopping by to play Plinko, ask questions and visit with our wonderful volunteers. We would like to thank Lansdowne Place Mall for including us, Chris Fenton for building the fun Plinko board, and Louise Warner from Wild Imagination Flowers for donating some beautiful bouquets for our display and to use as prizes.
On September 23, Kim Fenton and Deb Aben attended the cheque presentation ceremony at the Mall and were pleasantly surprised to accept a cheque for $2195.90…..that is enough to buy almost 150 pairs of pyjamas for kids in need this holiday season.
