241 kids went to camp this summer!
September 1, 2015
Thanks to all the donors in our community for helping our Foundation send kids to camp this summer!
Because of their generosity and caring, we were able to send 241 children to a variety of camps in Haliburton, City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough County.
Summer camp is a place where children get the experiences they need to bolster their range of coping strategies. There are the simple challenges of learning how to build a fire, going on a hike, swimming or conquering a high ropes course.
Camp is a time to put away screens, get a little dirty, meet new friends, learn new skills and just forget their troubles for a week and have fun.
Thanks to all the champions who helped children have an experience that they will remember for a lifetime.
We hope that others will step up to the plate and donate to the Foundation’s Summer Camp Fund!
