The Kawartha- Haliburton Children’s Foundation Board of Directors expresses their sincere appreciation to Donna Barry on her retirement as the Foundation’s Fundraising Coordinator.
Ms. Barry has served the K-H Children’s Foundation, an independent children’s charity raising much needed funds for the children, who receive services from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society, to help overcome the obstacles they face by supporting life enriching experiences that encourage them to reach their potential.
“We are very saddened to say good-bye to Donna, who after working for 15 years for the foundation, retired last spring,” says Kim Fenton, Board Chair. Donna worked tirelessly to help us raise funds to send children to camp – 4535 kids. She helped us raise money so children could take music lessons, dance lessons, and take part in sports. Over the years she helped us raise $425,000 towards the Margaret Davies Bursary Fund to help 201 former crown wards attend post-secondary colleges and universities. Most notably, Donna was the visionary behind KHCF’s ‘Be a Kid for a Day’. She touched our hearts with her love for the children she helped. We sincerely thank Donna and wish her all the best in the future.”
