Press Release:
2021 Santa’s Sleigh was a Success!
Thank you for Helping to Put a Smile on a Child’s Face this Holiday Season!
Peterborough, ON – (Dec 13, 2021) For the past 32 years, the Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Foundation has helped make Christmas brighter for local children, youth and families who are involved with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society through the Santa’s Sleigh program.
“I am overwhelmed with the generosity, and thankful for the support the community has shown for the Santa’s Sleigh program this year” says Carrie Truman, Executive Director of the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation. “So many individuals, workplaces and community groups came together to make sure every name on our tree was picked, and everyone will have a special gift to open this holiday season.”
The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation would like to thank community members and volunteers for their generosity in making Santa’s Sleigh a success again this year. Gifts were purchased for over 850 children, youth and families – that is everyone who requested gifts through the Santa’s Sleigh program.
Every year, the Santa’s Sleigh program is executed by our many volunteers and community partners, including Peterborough & Kawarthas Association of Realtors (PKAR), East Peterborough Lions Club, media partner The Wolf 101.5 FM, Global Peterborough and 100.5 Fresh Radio, and Walmart on Chemong Road where the gifts were collected.
