Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation is Seeking New Board Members:

Are you looking for a way to make a difference by supporting in-need children, youth and families in your community? Joining the Board of Directors at the Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Foundation and supporting enrichment for children, youth, and families, involved with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Foundation is currently seeking applications for new members to join our Board of Directors. We are looking for strategic thinkers, local leaders, and enthusiastic communicators, who are passionate about making a difference in their local community. We strive to have a diverse board with a wide variety of skills, backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, we welcome everyone to apply.

The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation Board is made up of a great group of Directors who are dedicated to supporting the efforts of the Foundation with their oversight, new ideas, and governance. You would join this dedicated group in attending 9 board meetings a year and participating in one of our committees (Executive, Governance, Finance, or Resource Development). There are exciting fundraising events throughout the year hosted by the Foundation, in which Directors are invited to attend and help build community awareness for the Foundation while raising funds to support children, youth, and families who are involved with the Children’s Aid Society. This is a volunteer position, that comes with lots of ‘feel-good’ rewards.

About Us: The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation is dedicated to working in collaboration with donors and the community to raise funds towards the enrichment of the Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Aid Society’s children, youth, and families. Our traditional programming includes funding for summer camp, post-secondary bursaries, after-school recreational programs, gift cards for youth transitioning to independent living and seasonal gift giving for children living in Peterborough County, the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County.

How to Apply: Please send your resume, with a letter outlining your interest in joining the KHCF board and a completed skills matrix document to admin@k-hchildrensfoundation.com using Board of Directors as the subject of the email. Applications will be accepted until March 31st at noon. Selected Directors will begin their term with the board at our AGM meeting in June.
