It is a responsibility of children’s aid societies to pay special attention to the experiences of the most vulnerable Francophone families and children in Ontario. Access to French-Language services has been a longstanding challenge for Francophone families. The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society continues to evolve capacities to ensure the delivery of French Language services. Priority focus is on creating greater FLS capacity through recruitment or where possible, sharing services with other children’s aid societies or local service providers and as well as French Language staff retention.
